The Helping Hands
Commission is responsible for the Food Pantry, which serves an
estimated 212 families each month, impacting over 420 individuals.
U.S.D.A. Commodities are also available to eligible
households. Eligibility is based upon the number in the household and
income.
Helping Hands also distributes
emergency assistance funds to people who find themselves in crisis
situations. This help is limited to one payment, one time per
year.
The "Baby Care
Program" offers mothers baby food, diapers, formula and
miscellaneous items one time per month.
The "Blanket
Cupboard" distributes free blankets and bedding.
"Coats Against the
Cold" provides free winter coats to those who need them.
